Break free from traditional rules and discover new inspiration for your hand embroidery and weaving practice. This class invites you to explore intuitive, expressive stitching through experimentation, play, and curiosity.

You’ll learn about unconventional tools and techniques used to create intuitive hand-stitched work, and begin to develop a personal visual language using needle, thread, fabric and whatever other material you would like to try. I’ll share my intuitive process and demonstrate how I embrace experimentation and material exploration within my own practice.

Working with found and repurposed fabrics, we’ll deconstruct materials, rethink their possibilities, and transform them through hand stitching and weaving techniques. Beads, felt balls, sequins and other goodies will be available for you to add into your piece. The class includes hands-on demonstrations along with personalized guidance to support your individual creative direction.

All levels welcome—no prior experience necessary, just a willingness to explore.
